WEEK 14

Image
Feliz Navidad a todos!! This week and a half have been a little crazy. Have to admit, we were not able to do too much because we had a lot of small-time consuming things to do with our members.  We had 2 more baptisms at the beginning of the week!!! I've spoken about Christian quite a bit, he is a miracle. On the day of his baptism (he was more excited for this than Christmas) we could NOT find him. His mom was not responding and like an hour before his baptism we just decided to run up there and check, HE WASN'T THERE! After we panicked and prayed his mom finally called us... and guess where he was. Bro's grandpa straight up drove him to the church without telling us, so while we were about to start panicking, he was just chilling at the empty church. In the end it was great because we got to teach his grandpa about baptism. Angel's story (our other miracle) has been talked about too but just to recap... his family is heavily based in the catholic traditions, which ang...

Week 13

Bendiciones!!! This week was incredible, but I lowkey don't have a lot of time to type this email so I'ma tell it through pictures mostly. Sorry for the late email, our pday has been changed for Christmas.  We started last week great, we had 2 people with baptismal dates, and I gave one of them a tie from my dad. Those that know my dad know that this is very appropriate because my dad will literally give you the suit off of his back if you needed it.  We also placed like 2 more dates and one, whose name is Max, is extremely happy to be making his first covenant with God! I'm also realizing that I do the same pose for every picture, so I need to change that. Anyways... People here love giving us food, it's awesome! One hermana made us the best pizza I've ever had (besides my mum's ofc) We had a couple days off to travel to the city (super sad) for my comps medicine, and I bought a super sick hot wheels Lego set lol. Also had McDonalds for the first time in like...

Week 12

Bendiciones!!! One of our members tried to kill me. She fed us this amazing food that's basically everything delicious... in a massive fried chilly... I don't have a good spice tolerance. This was definitely a week of miracles! As we dedicated ourselves more and put effort where needed through prayer, we saw God step in and cover what we couldn't.  What I mean:  1. First story is about a kid named Angel. He's friends with our amazing member-nonmember, Alexis, that's how we found him. We had been teaching him for a while, but he wasn't really progressing, so we were close to dropping him. I kept having this feeling each time I thought about him to go and contact him. One day we planned on simply dropping the ball with him, as in he can choose whether to keep meeting with us with the intent of going to church or we were going to stop passing by.... He now has a baptismal date lol. What happened was he was so caught up on believing the same things as his family ...

Week 11

Bendiciones!! These weeks are really starting to fly by, lol. I'm loving Mexico and most of the people here. We just ended our first transfer and almost everyone is leaving which sucks but me and my comp are staying!! Our zone leaders were super sick and made us soccer jerseys with our number of baptisms this transfer as the number on the back, super sick!  We had the primary program this Sunday and it was incredible! Instead of singing the kids just yelled but it was still somehow filled with the spirit. It's a simple testament of how powerful the holy ghost really is. Also... one of our friends came to church for the first time. She was supposed to come with her sister but she got sick so our friend was alone with me and my comp. Now, she's also like 12, way above primary age. Soooo when all the primary kids stood up and ran to the front to sing these songs they have been practicing for weeks, somehow, our friend who had never been to church before, found hersel...
