Week 16
Muy buenas tardes a todos!
Super quick email, not too much happened this week.
We have cambios on Wednesday: as in we leave Wednesday and I'm finding out if I'm going Tuesday night.... bro why. So, what that means is no time to pack and no sleep lol
Our house cat is the best, mostly cuz I'm her favorite. Sometimes she'll just chill on my lap in the noche jajaja.
The food here keeps getting better and better. But this one's for the missionaries on this list: pancakes, peanut butter(sorry caden) and Nutella... all you need for food in your house.
This week we just spent finding and ministering to inactive members. Our active members are so awesome in helping us perform this work. Between driving our ppl everywhere and coming out to teach with us, we can't work without them.
We met a kid on the street who was interested in our church. When we went back a week later to meet with him, he had a cake and everything hahahaha. Turns out that he had met with missionaries from all other religions. The thing that set us apart was, in his words, the fact that we stayed and ministered to him.
I saw a common theme this week of ministering, not just teaching. Between the help and miracles we get from our members, to the difference it made to our new friend by just being with him and loving as Christ did, we saw a huge difference in our people we are teaching. Christ is the best example of how to teach but also minister. I implore y'all, focus on loving those around you. Only when we love others like Christ is when we are truly being like Christ. I can promise that if y'all can love as Christ did, you will change people's lives.
Love y'all,
Elder LaBass
