Week 29-30

Bendiciones a todo, que dice la buena vida. Aqui estamos otra vez with yet another glorious p-day.

These past two weeks have been pretty crazy, we had transfers and a bunch of miracles with the people we are teaching!!

CRAZY MIRACLE!!!
There is a family who had been miembros for more than 18 years. Only problem is that the husband had been receiving the missionaries for 18 years but refused to get baptized. Thanks to thousands of small spiritual experiences and small pushes from family, friends, missionaries and members, Hermano Fulgencio was ready to receive his first covenant with God. This moment changed me completely as I saw a family who had been broken for so many years gather together in a group hug centered on God. Family is one of the key parts of God's plan. We are meant to be sealed together as a family to become the strongest spiritual unit, protected against the adversary and his fiery darts. Through our covenants with God, the family unit can and will be a foundation in these last days. Stay close to your families, I truly believe that next to the Holy Ghost, without a family unit of some shape, it will be impossible to survive spiritually in the coming days.

-In preparation for this baptism we had to take buckets and throw about a million gallons of dirty water out the window because the exit pump wasn't working lol. (We actually ended up doing this twice) 3 hours of bucketing later. We went to fill the font AND THERE WAS NO FETCHING WATER. So we had to take an early morning to go and fill the font back up before church jajajajajajaja.

- We gave blessings to a married couple who had told us of relationship struggles and drinking problems. We gave them both priesthood blessings and invited them to center their house on God's Church. Then two days later while searching for new people to teach we found a person that was in contact with the missionaries and whose son is a member. So we gave her a very powerful restauracion lesson and promised her there is comfort and love at the church. THEN that night we received a text from the married couple that told us that the lady we just taught is la tia of the wife of the married couple. Crazy connection jajajajaja

I know that this is the work of the lord because of how imperfect we are. Let me explain: to run an operation similar to the mission where hundreds of missionaries are scattered thousands of miles in a foreign land, learning the language and preaching the gospel, would take military level expertise, training, and discipline... instead they sent me... 🤣🤣🤣 I know that this is the work of the Lord Jesus Christ because an operation so big and complex being conducted by 20 year-olds who just graduated high-school from a different country should have fallen apart years ago. But it hasn't. Infact, it has grown stronger. I know that this is only because of the lord. If it wasn't his work, he wouldn't be helping us quite literally every step of the way.

I full heartedly love every single one of you. And while sometimes I forget to respond (sorry Ryan hehehe) I still love you and think about y'all every day.

Also may or may not have accidentally tried alcohol lol. We were given a small candy fruit and ofc she told us AFTER we ate them that they were actually alcoholic fruits that had been fermented for a year..... explains that horrible taste :(
