Week 6 from Oaxaca

 Bendiciones!!!!!

This week has easily been the hardest week yet. Saying goodbye to the CCM family was crazy difficult but I'm so happy that we are all in field now!

The last night at the CCM our flight was set for 2AM... who does that... it's a 1 hour flight... Why 2am? So no one slept at all, we all just stayed up talking and playing cards. Once we got to Oaxaca we all crashed in a hotel and slept for four hours.

Currently I am in Juchitán, Xochixlon 3 area! This place is crazy because all non-member adults are the laziest people ever, but the niños... they are so awesome!! We have about 7 people on date for next week right now (2 of which were placed by us) and they are all under 15... nice. These kids are awesome, we will be sitting on the street teaching on and then all of a sudden 7 more pull up out of nowhere and listen in. It's so awesome how strong these kids' spirits are. The way we find these kids is through a game called Trumpo. It's basically a top on a string and if you go and play with them in the street these kids just come running and play with ya. So awesome. We found a guy around 14 named Alexis and he is so awesome! His family is catholic but they don't practice and we got him on date pretty fast. He's got a super strong testimony and it's clear he has been prepared for the true gospel. He also schooled us all in a game of uno... this guy. There's also like a million dogs and cats running around and EVERYONE is a soda addict.

Sunday was the most chaotic day ever. We met a member at the church building and then drove around to all the little gatherings picking up our friends, just throwing them in the back of this super old and barely running truck. Super fun hahahaha. Like, all the gages on the dash don't work and transmission is limited to first and climbing gear lol. Love it here.

Our main mode of transportation are these three wheeled moto-taxis, 15 pesos and you can get anywhere in Xochixlon in 15 minutes. So sick. ALSO, THE FOOD IS AWESOME, PEAK COMIDA. Each day we eat lunch with our zone leaders and another companionship at a members house. It is sooo good.

My biggest lesson this week has been finding my purpose. I've learned that even if you have a heading and know your course, you need to find your why. I hate to say it but this is a little easier than summer sales  (besides the spanish) but it's still hard work. Once I remembered why I was here the spirit placed a fire in me that I can only explain as God's love for these people. I implore y'all to find your why. Remember why you started in the first place and center your purpose around love. If you do that, you will find motivation beyond that which you have ever felt.

But yeah, saying goodbye is hard, I love my district so much but I know I need to be here. Oaxaca is amazing, quite literally bringing the children to Christ. Love the food and my comp is awesome. If you find your why in all things, based on love, you will never lack in motivation. Love you guys!!!
