Week 24
Whats up guys, coming at you from the coast of Oaxaca, aka world famous surfing spot Puerto Escondido

I learned a lot this week. This area is super different and difficult from what I'm used to, it's almost like an entirely different mission lol. Finding is extremely hard because everyone here is either a borracha, a tourist, or super active in a random church. It's crazy the different denominaciones of people here, we've taught Mexicans in Spanish, Germans in English, and a French person in spenglish. It's also really funny when all the natives don't expect us to speak Spanish so they'll talk bad about us and we just laugh and start talking to them.
So yeah, we are working really hard but not having too much success. Nonetheless, we are still going at it.
On intercambios me and this elder named Elder Monte went outside to take pics of the moon and ended up locking ourselves outside of the house. So for like 4 hours I was climbing up and down the house trying to open a window lol. Then we gave up, ordered hamburgers and called a lock picker dude.
There are a TON of tarantulas all over the place here lol, and if you wanna see a mexican scream, just put a big spider in front of him.
This thought is mainly for priesthood holders:
This Sunday we attended the Elders Quorum meeting after absolutely COOOKING on back to back sacrament talks. The intention of this meeting was to talk about the priesthood power and authority we have. Then the recently called 2nd counselor wanted a blessing of healing because of some major pain in his left side.... EVERYONE HAD THE PRIESTHOOD AND NO ONE KNEW HOW TO OR WANTED TO GIVE THE BLESSING. Oof. If you are given the opportunity to hold the power of God in your heart, you have a responsibility to learn how to and actively use it. God does not give us power to keep to ourselves. This is my thought for this week, God was gracious and forgiving enough to give us power to bless and perform ordinances. There will come a time when YOU are called upon to use that power, be ready. I implore y'all to prepare yourselves to be able to give a blessing at any time, this means both mentally prepared and spiritually clean. Strive to be ready, so when God and his children need you, you're ready.
