Week 14-15
Bendiciones!!!
Just a few quick things:
I finally bought my guitar lol, and a hammock. This thing is so sick, currently I'm learning I need thee every hour.
New years was crazy. There's a tradition here of getting scare crows and instead of stuffing them with hay, they stuff them with fireworks and gunpowder... we didn't sleep at all. These things are so crazy loud and they literally exploded for like 10 minutes.
One of the dogs in one of our colonias followed us for like 1.5 miles home and waited outside our house to walk back to the area. Literally she was with us for like 4 teachings hahaha.
Jacqueline got baptized! The sister of Galilea, Jacqueline, had some major doubts and fears during her teachings with Galilea. She was supposed to get baptized with her sister, but her fears go the best of her and held her back. We kept teaching her whole family and they all could feel the spirit and wanted to follow God, it's incredible. It took 3 weeks, but we finally got Jacqueline to say her first out loud prayer and after that she felt her Savior's love and chose to follow his example. Her story has so much and is just incredible.
So many amazing things happened this week like usual, I can't even begin the count the miracles and blessings sent for God. Jacqueline's story of prayer and faith is truly incredible. Prayer may be something that we learned in primary or saw in a movie or heard about online, but putting our earthy understanding, prayer is not simple something we recite and add into our schedule. Prayer is a gift. Prayer is a power. Prayer can and will change your and my life forever. Jacqueline is an amazing example of this. It is incredible the power we have to commune with our Father in Heaven wherever and whenever we want. I implore y'all, in good and bad times, calm and busy, offer a prayer to God, talk with him. He wants to hear from you. I can promise, a simple prayer from your heart can and will change your life, if you let it.
For those who are afraid that they don't know how to pray
1. Address god: Ex- "heavenly father..."
2. Talk with him, share with him your fear and happiness, thank him and ask for help.
3. End "in the name of Jesus Christ, amen."
Love you guys!
